The Impossible
The Impossible was directed by J.A Bayona, written by Sergio G. Sanchez and Maria Belon (The Real Maria The Impossible was written about.) It stars Naomi Watts as Maria and Ewan McGregor as Henry.
The Plot is that a family (three kids and a mum and a dad) Are spending Christmas in Thailand. Whilst there they get an upgrade to a Villa on the Coast. They soon go to the pool and listened to the distant waves and this distant noise soon turned to a Disturbing roar. Maria and Lucas the eldest child got swept one way and Henry and the two youngest get swept another way. This is a true story about finding their family and the message of the movie is 'Nothing is more powerful than the human spirit'.

What I Thought Of The Impossible!
I think the impossible was portrayed pretty well and accurately. The only things I thought Would've made it more accurate is if after the second wave there was more dead things and people in the water because there would be a lot more in real life. I also think that they should've added more creaking noises and the sound of the water when Maria and Lucas were finding somewhere safe to rest. The music used was suspenseful, creepy, motivational and sad at times. The makeup and special effects were used to good use to make it look real and was good for making the cast look wounded and hurt. I rate the Impossible a 9/10 for portraying the Tsunami well.
In The Impossible they built miniature houses with green screens around them so it looked like a giant Tsunami was attacking the village, they also used pools with green screens around it and used a filter on the water to make it look like it was dirty. The palm trees weren't palm trees just long poles.
Interesting Facts
In The Impossible the ball that Lucas was playing with and that the dad saw and in the movie how the dad found Lucas, in the movie was red, but in real life was actually yellow and the real Maria said it was the BIGGEST lie of the movie! The Impossible was based on the 2004 Southeast Asia tsunami, it was the day after Christmas and it struck a few minutes before 8.00 AM local time. The Tsunami killed around 230,000 people. Within 30 minutes it hit Sumatra and within 2 hours it hit Thailand and all around it.
